BarCampRDU isn’t much without the people. I think everyone who’s ever been to a BarCamp can appreciate that. Part of the challenge of having a grassroots type conference like this is that it requires a lot of participation from the attendees as well as the organizers. There are a lot of ways to get involved with BarCamp and everyone is encouraged to help make it the best conference we can.
Are you planning on attending this year? Join the mailing list at http://lists.ibiblio.org/mailman/listinfo/barcamprdu-organizers. Send a message to the list and introduce yourself! Let us know where you’re from and what you’re interested in hearing talks about.

Pitch an idea for a talk!
We need people to gives talks or else we’ll all just be sitting around drinking coffee all day. This is your chance at fame and glory! I know you’ve got something you’d love to talk about, so organize your thoughts, and prepare your 15 second pitch for the group. We’ll put everyone’s talk ideas up on the wall and then you’ll vote for what you’re most interested in seeing.
Tell a friend or coworker!
