In light of the tremendous response to our initial announcements about BarCampRDU 2009 where all 200 initial spots were claimed in a matter of days, we have opened up a new round of spots for BarCampRDU 2009. If you look at the registration page, you might notice that while the original spots were marked as “Free”, the current openings have a box where you can donate money to BarCampRDU. Please note that it is perfectly fine to enter $0.00 into the box. We’re not about to start charging you for BarCamp. But, hopefully, in this way, if you want to help out monetarily, you can. We would really appreciate it.
And, for those of you who have already registered but decide, hey, that’s a good idea, I’d like to help out monetarily too, feel free to scroll down on the page and click the Paypal Donate button.
In either case, we greatly appreciate any donations people choose to give. Here’s the link to the BarCampRDU 2009 registration page:
UPDATE: There appears to be a problem where the registration will not let you specify a $0.00 donation. Sorry about that. We’re working on it. More information later…
UPDATE 2: It looks like we’ve got free registration working again. Once again, apologies for the mixup. We can still use donations, though, so if you can, please feel free to click the Paypal button on the middle of the page.
